New approaches (e.g. high intensity CXL) and modified techniques (e.g. combined transepithelial phototherapeutic keratectomy followed by CXL - “Cretan protocol”, combined photorefractive keratectomy followed by CXL etc.). New techniques in managing corneal graft for partial corneal transplantation procedures. Development of new techniques for corneal endothelial transplantation (DSEK, DMEK) Femtosecond laser application in corneal, refractive and cataract surgery (e.g. femtosecond laser-assisted intracorneal biopolymer insertion for the symptomatic treatment of bullous keratopathy). Refractive surgery - outcomes and new approaches. Evaluation of corneal ectatic disorders and treatment options. Intracorneal ring segments in keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia.
