Research Interest: He is a Pediatric Nephrologist and a leading scientist in clinical studies in China especially for IgA nephropathy and nephritic syndrome in children. He also conducted basic research in regard to the investigation of the role of immunological aspects in kidney diseases including nephritic syndrome and diabetic nephropathy.

Research Interest: As a professional with intensive interdisciplinary backgrounds, his research goals are to understand the human diseases mechanisms through studying the clinical relevant animal models, in the fields of Neuroscience, Oncology, Orthopedics, Molecular Immunology/Hematology, Pathology, Genomics/ Genetics and Stem cells.  Based on his research he has received several awards and honors, such as: Distinguished service award from University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Zhifeng Chen is a globally recognized expert in biomedical imaging, with a specialized focus on cutting-edge MRI acquisition strategies and advanced image reconstruction methodologies. Bridging the gap between academic research and industrial innovation, he currently holds the position of Principal Scientist and Clinical Research Collaboration Specialist at the Institute of Research and Clinical Innovations, Neusoft Medical Systems. Previously, he has served in prestigious research roles at Monash Biomedical Imaging, the University of Southern California, Harvard Medical School, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Chen earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University. Over the past decade, his research has driven transformative progress in rapid neuroimaging, quantitative MRI, non-Cartesian acquisition, motion-robust dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI), precision motion correction, and deep learning-based medical imaging. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed scientific publications, underscoring the depth, consistency, and international impact of his scholarly contributions.

His leadership spans numerous high-impact initiatives involving physics-informed deep learning, compressed sensing, low-rank subspace modeling, contrastive learning, and diffusion-based imaging frameworks. Beyond research, Dr. Chen plays an active role in the global scientific community as a reviewer for top-tier journals, a grant proposal evaluator, and a member of editorial boards, thereby shaping the direction and quality of medical imaging science worldwide.
