Global Journal of Perioperative Medicine Submit Manuscript

    Authorship Criteria

    The criteria for authorship in the Global Journal of Perioperative Medicine (GJPM) is based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations. The recommendations are as follows:

    1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work;
    2. Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
    3. Final approval of the version to be published;
    4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

    All scholars who meet the first criterion should have the opportunity to participate in the review, drafting, and final approval of the manuscript. All co-authors and responsible authorities at the place where research was carried out should have approved the submitted version of manuscript. In addition to being accountable for the parts of the work he or she has done, an author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for specific other parts of the work. In addition, authors should have confidence in the integrity of the contributions of their co-authors.

    GJPM includes only one corresponding author per article. Any further contribution details (eg, equal contribution) must be included in the contributors or acknowledgement sections at the end of the article. We wish to ensure that authors' do not have a conflict of interest regarding name inclusion and all authors included on an article fulfil the criteria of authorship.

    In case of any disagreements among authors, we follow guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). GJPM is in process of evaluation for COPE membership.
